Crystal and Chris:

In 1997, Chris and I started dating. We both worked together at Westling Manufacturing (we rebuilt clutches, water pumps, and alternators). In 2002, we got married in Las Vegas. We don’t have children, but we do have fur babies. I was born in West Covina, California and Chris was born in Coon Rapids, Minnesota. My husband is the shy, quiet one and I am the outgoing talkative one. We complete each other. In 2008, we moved to Grand Marais. Grand Marais is one of our favorite towns. My husband, Chris, works for MN Dot so when there was an opening we transferred up here. We lived up the Gunflint Trail for a year where I worked at Bearskin Lodge. Working for Bob and Sue McCloughan was great, but I needed to be around more people. We found a place to rent/caretake in town for a couple years. I started working at Johnson’s Foods and Marathon. Working for the Johnsons and Schultes was the best thing I could have done. In 2011 we bought our first home. The first day working at Johnson’s Foods I knew I wanted to buy the store. That dream finally came true June 24th, 2022 when we bought the store 50/50 with Jacob Muus and his family.

Things We Enjoy:

Ride snowmobiles, side x siding. We love long road trips with our dogs, camping and vacationing. We enjoy hiking everywhere we go. We love to snowshoe in the winter. In the spring we enjoy going out on the side x side looking for moose sheds. We love going for drives looking for wildlife. We love riding motorcycles. We both have dog carriers for our cycles so we can bring our dogs with when we go out for rides. (They look cute with their little heads peeking out). They loving going with us. We both love collecting rocks. We also love to drive/crash/flip/roll/rock crawl our RC cars. We want to build a track at our house. I love playing pranks on people, April Fool’s Day is my favorite day of the year.
